Thanks for calling out this meritless deceptive practice of using a technicality to somehow "debunk" people that are correcting the many lies, & propaganda spread by right wing fascists. Again....my answer to what to do about it is the same. News media MUST be regulated more & making opinion statements, or lies should be illegal with news organizations. Propaganda news has to be made illegal if we want to protect our democracy. The current threat is within our gov't now & that's why government employees need to be able to articulate what they believe to be true & if it is reality based, then they can be hired. If they cannot articulate reality & truth, then we can't allow them to be government workers. The pardon power of the presidency needs to be adjusted so that abuses the likes of Trump has inflicted on the U.S. don't happen again. Appointees need to be investigated more thoroughly & IN ADVANCE, be cleared for security clearance, or they may not be appointed, nor can they be "acting". It's a little unnerving that all of these very important stop gaps in our government have been left wide open to abuse. After the multiple crimes done by the Reagan & Bush admins this should've been a no-brainer. Why was Barr allowed to enter the gov't in another position after blocking criminal prosecutions of Bush? Why was he allowed back in 2016 after that? The same can be said of the undemocratically "elected" Bush Jr. Many of the people in his cabinet, Rove, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Robert Gates, et al should never have been approved of. Yet they were & brought this country to its knees with illegal wars, stolen money, death & destruction. If we never had the Bush Jr. presidency, then likely would not have had Trump.
Media & others need to stop pretending that Republicans are not fascists, that they are not intentionally corrupting our government & self-dealing, while doing the work for certain foreign people like Putin. I am sick of the media using two separate set of rules for GOP and Dems. It's maddening to watch these people continue to dog Dems & attack them over every little hair out of place, while they ignore the sedition Senators in congress. They ignore the "boy Prince" Jared Kushner, but hypocritically go after people close to Biden who are innocent & spend years trying to destroy their character. I can barely stomach it any more. It has to change.
Me personally? I don't think this Covid and Covid-vaccine issue will ever be conclusively hashed-out to a satisfactory resolution. Like the JFK assassination and the 9-11, 2001 event we will never fully know what happened. FOIA notwithstanding, too much information is covered up. Especially private information held by private, for profit corporations.
Having said that I became a big fan of yours years ago after reading your very good expose "Family of Secrets." I, and I'm sure many others, are grateful for the effort you put into that revealing book.
Oh please....you cannot compare Covid to JFK murder. There is literally no mystery about it whatsoever. Yes we will conclusively hash it out, because we all know that the vaccine helped us stop people from dying. Before Musk took over Twitter, the misinformation was stopping the spreading of lies about Covid, but that's why Musk wanted to buy it isn't it? Because he's not a good person. He isn't a good citizen & he should have his U.S. citizenship revoked. He's a traitor. Many of these propagandists know the truth, but continue to spread this lie for Trump. The entire party is infested with fascists. They've been radicalized since the 1990s & they keep going further & further right. My daddy died because of misinformation related to covid
He was the 49th Kentucky school worker to die. Many more followed. He wanted to live to tell his Holler he was wrong and it isn't like the flu and can't be treated by washing your hands. Then he had 4 organs fail at once and a massive heart attack and I his only child, a single mom who was being evicted due to my unit being sold, and unemployed at the time, had to mercy act for my daddy before I could get to him to say goodbye. This is not the same as any other significant event.
