Had another thought. I would not have known about the Santos story being in the North Coast Leader but for your previous post. If The NY Times wasn’t alerted to the story earlier by reading about it in the Leader, I’m not going to argue. But what about the Zimmerman campaign? There are 9 newspapers in all of Nassau County, and that district looks like it only covers part of the north end of it. Two of those are versions of Newsday. The Leader’s circulation, according to its website, is 20,000. Is it conceivable that no one in the Zimmerman campaign would have read about this in time to investigate it and call it to the attention of other voters in the district? Does anyone in the Democrat PMC understand the old Tip O’Neill saw ‘all politics is local’? At least when you’re running for office in a small locality? It is truly amazing.
