Does no one in the United States know that India is under an authoritarian fascist regime and has been since 2014?

Honor is due for your long-awaited "all in this together" essay. You wrote:

"This raises the question of why the rest of the world is not coming together over this shared problem of autocrats helping each other divide the planet into spheres of influence."

The answer is provided in a single word: "tribalism". Flags, anthems, pledges of allegiance, and the obscene tatoos of lines drawn on maps imprison us in spiritual death camps where we are sentenced to eternal Manichean conflict between light and darkness.

You are right to note the recurrence of fascism throughout history. I wrote of this at length in my Afterword to H.P. Albarelli, Jr.'s "Coup in Dallas" that I appropriately titled "TheJackboots of the Pharisees".

Think of Trump and his global masters as Martin Bormann's return on investment.

As Bertolt Brecht wrote of of his Hitler-inspired character Arturo Ui, "Do not rejoice in his defeat, you men. For though the world has stood up and stopped the bastard, the bitch that bore him is in heat again."

To turn ever so briefly to a subject that demands our abiding attention, I submit that JFK's assassination will not be fully understood until we acknowledge that it was supra-national in origin.

But I digress.
