I worry (and often rant to my wife) about this endemic false equivalence regularly. It's scary how often I now hear this, "Yes, but the Left/Liberal Media/Democrats are just as bad" talking point from educated friends and family who should know better — people who KNEW better, not so long ago. Sometimes it feels as though the whole world has gone mad.
Just today, a California woman was shot dead for flying a rainbow flag in front of her store. How do you not report that story with hair-on-fire urgency? To my mind, this is no longer about
about conventional Left/Right media bias. We crossed that bridge back in 2016.
