Hi Russ, I just want to start with I have enjoyed your work over the years. This is a good article, but I questioned whether Pence's detail feared for their life or safety. A good friend of mine, who left Pence's detail 2 months before Jan 6, responded as follows:
"I can tell you for sure that is bullshit with a capital B. I really don’t know who would make that up. When we upgrade phones every year or so, we are told that if we have text messages we need to keep that we should take screen shots of them. I had just left there less than two months prior to January 6th, and I would have heard about it from guys I know there."
It's like you read my mind with this article. I want a full exposure of the CIA, then they can disband. I don't think wealthy families that made up the OSS & then CIA are the best choices for those jobs. Then yes the Secret Service must be investigated & those unqualified by some attitudes, or conflicts of interest MUST be dismissed. Full background checks must be done to rule out certain partisan "friendships" with wealthy people. The FBI also must be investigated for the same, as well as NSA.

I was stunned by the destruction of JFK assassination, so they need to come out with the story & admit that Oswald was innocent already. The declassified records reveal that is the case. I think they know that Bush, Hunt, Dulles, Angleton, Helms were at the center. Nixon was in the know too. The LBJ blame is not credible, although he did go along with the cover-up afterwards, but he wasn't power hungry enough to continue to hang onto power like Republicans have been, so he wasn't power-hungry enough to be involved with the murder. This is republican disinformation.
There is LITERALLY only one plausible explanation why the JFK records have been covered up this long. Bush is the reason. Everyone will know that we had a VP & Pres who was a CIA agent, who carried out & ran the assassination, along w/Dulles et al. The Bush family has $Trillions they stole from our gov't. It's the only reason they CIA exists, so these people can make money & control things undetected. Then they can continue to do it for generations under everyone else's nose. This is unspeakable & that it has gone on this long with no intervention by any DOJ is unacceptable. It is time for the CIA to dump the secrets. Too bad for the Bush family, but enough is enough.

How do you NOT know that Trump never tried to wrestle the steering wheel of the limo away from the FBI agent who was driving it? The FBI agents named by Hutchison stated within an hour of her testimony that it was false and the incident never happened - and unlike her, they were present and actual eye witnesses - but in the current inquisition that is the Jan 6 Committee, these agents were not allowed to testify about this, nor were Republicans allowed to cross-examine Hutchison. And of course you ignore one other possibility: That the texts were deleted b/c they showed intent on the part of the FBI and law enforcement in general to allow things to get as bad as they could get - perhaps just so they could conduct the very inquisition currently parading on TV and ruin Trump for 2024.

The FBI & NSA both need to be investigated for corruption & it should be determined if the rest of these intel agencies are necessary. We know the CIA is not. We know they've done terrible crimes across the globe. We know they conjure up reasons for the CIA to exist & that is part of the problem. The CIA is probably the worst, most corrupt intel agency, but I've heard the Naval Intel is pretty bad too. We cannot have any agencies being above the law & being so corrupt their resources are used by individuals to get rich, do violence, or snoop into U.S. citizens lives whenever they please. That is no ok.
I saw a (CNN?) interview with an ex-SS administrator who said in his experience very little of importance is communicated by text. Anything important is done by radio. Seems possible..
I think it is likely that urgent immediate communications (especially group instructions or alerts) would go out over radio. But anything you wanted to communicate directly to a colleague that was "private" you would presumably text. That's where the good stuff would be.
They claim they cannot retrieve those texts, but I can't help but doubt that. There are people in the Tech Industry that can do things that others claim impossible. I think the S.S. should be investigated for corruption, & possible ill will towards Gov't officials. I don't know why the DOJ is not bouncing all of those Trump appointees out of there. Seriously, I'm frustrated by the slowness & inaction of the DOJ. The best thing they did was appoint Jack Smith, but there seems to be a lot of corruption in the DOJ. A good many of them should be purged. For example, Bill Barr should never have gotten a second bite at the apple regardless of TFG wanting him. He had already been well known for shielding CIA Bush from multiple crimes from Iran-contra, Oct. Surprise, the call-boy scandal (#FranklinScandal), drugs, etc... Why is the simplest common-sense thing so hard for these people to conform to? The fascist GOP doesn't think they should have to follow any rules, and they go about business openly using corrupt people, foreign adversaries, & propagandists. This can't go on like this.
