I hear that’s what the Greenland Customs and Immigration plan for the arrival of Mrs. Couchfucker entourage.

And did you see the dog killer standing arrogantly in front of those suffering human beings? Ugg🥺

Those people did not consent to having their photo taken in such degrading, zoo-like parading of their non-human status. I would never share such an offensive image.

I sympathize with your outrage, but the photo serves the crucial purpose of bringing the abuse to light. The photo’s dehumanization of the hostage prisoners is horrifying, but the faces aren’t seen. No one’s identity is revealed; but the shame of the jailer is open for all the world to condemn.

That’s a very decent take, though the use of intentionally disseminated arranged photos of intensely arranged prisoners gratifies the sadistic and intimidation intent of the prison administration a thousand times more than a causing of shame to arise in outraged folks. This wasn’t a documentary, undercover photograph, but a propaganda operation, one that demands rejection in all of its forms.

I hadn’t considered the source of the photo and its intent to generate fear and feed the sadistic pleasure taken by DT and MAGAts. I hope the photo, despite its evil intent, nevertheless motivates people to protest the cruel lawlessness of the US and El Salvador. I concede that the suffering the photo causes may well exceed whatever good people objecting to it may achieve.

Already slipped down the slope. I was going through screening for a normal domestic flight a few years ago- a 60 -something , white female, born in Alabama, functioning and productive decades-long taxpayer. The TSA agent demanded that I hand over my phone which was then held to some sort of scanning device. I’ve never known if it was for real or just a piece of chilling theater.

Re the photo, striking how closely it resembles the way the IDF treats Palestinian prisoners. And frightening.

I think it is a banned book now, but I did read it back in the 1970s. Took until 2024 for it to really come to fruition.

Criticizing our government is protected speech. If the Republican Administration prosecutes our First Amendment rights and it is successfully upheld by the Supreme Court, we will be in a fully authoritarian state that would make the U.S. a horrible place to live. Apparently, they now want universities to release the names and nationalities of campus protesters. They surely have a plan to intimidate the citizenry and quash dissent. It appears that the courts and our own resistance are our last line of defense.

An informative article Russ. The laws passed under Bush and still in effect, need to be revised. All departments involved with security need to be closely monitored for overreaching and abuse, especially of American citizens!

While I agree with this analysis, it's important to avoid falling into the left/right false dichotomy. The two party system is a facade, it's a one party state with two wings which wedge the people. Trump will go further in some areas, and hold out an olive branch in others.

We need a fundamental, spiritual, grassroots awakening. One which reaches across left and right divides. I freely admit to come from the right, and a lot of the concerns you address are also our concerns. Divide and conquer is a hell of a strategy.

Then apparently my blonde haired and blue eyed self will be roughed up, head shaved and sent to a hard labor foreign prison because my sister and I often commiserate about politics and how incredibly unfair it is and how much easier it would have been if SHE (either she) had won.

I just get herded over to the ER doctor who tells Northeast Texas doctors he is a “ex-Navy Seal who drives around with a shotgun in the back of his pickup truck”, and creates fictitious reports to the Coroner’s Office under “his care” as a “primary care physician”.

Not Former Navy Seal. Ex is different according to the Northeast Texas Former Mayor. Though no one ever talks about the Ex Sheriff who threatened literally “to put” a journalist and publisher “under the jail.” Nor Ryan Nichols training on the lake and in homes after floods.

While Kelcy Warren was a named supporter of the Caddo Lake Institute all along. A name brought up in the podcast series American Psycho.

Good thing, I had started shaving my head in 2013. A grief ritual I had observed in the Hindu religion concerning untimely and wrongful death.
